Solution
No it only clears the BIOS settings. It does not change anything on your hard drives.

Note though you may have to go in and set your HD as a boot device again, but that's it. Once you have the BIOS settings set back up it will work fine. Also note that you need to have the settings the same as when you installed Windows, otherwise you will have problems (Particularly the HD setup, if they were setup as SATA / RAID / AHCI they need to be put back, or windows will BSOD).

OK thank you for the fast reply i didn't install the windows as this is a second hand computer so do i just note down the order of the boot and make sure that it is exactly the same once the rest is done?

The boot order really doesn't matter that much, as long as the hard drive is in there. They key part is many motherboards have different options / or ways to configure the hard drives. So you have choices like SATA / RAID / AHCI, and sometimes on older motherboards IDE. If it's set to SATA now, and it's AHCI after the reset, windows will not boot. It's fine though, as you can go back in change the setting and boot then.

The rest of the settings for other things generally don't matter, windows will work around that stuff.
