So, I'm currently using Incore foam cleaner for LCD/TFT Displays. I apply it on dry fibercloth, clean the monitor, and then use dry paper towel to wipe the remaining moist coating layer.

But from what I read online, they can damage your screen and remove the protective layer on the Display ? is it true, or they are perfectly safe to use ? if not, what are the alternatives ?

Solution
I've been using this for more than 20 years, including on a few monitors I've had for more than 8 years, and I have yet to see any kind of damage to any part of the display from using it.

I use large microfiber cloths, no paper towels because they are abrasive. Paper towels or other abrasive cloths are probably more destructive than any semi-fast evaporating cleaner solution you could apply to it.
