Hey All,

So I didn't know if this was the appropriate place to post this answer, but it is GPU related. I've been recently having issues with my Clevo Custom Laptop which I purchased back in early 2017.

Specifications
  • Intel Core i7-6700HQ @ 2.6Ghz
  • 16GB 2666Mhz DDR3 SODIMM
  • Nvidia GTX 1070 (Non MAX-Q)

The issue I'm having is that when I'm just doing basic tasks like using google chrome, watching netflix, using discord etc and not utilising any form of intensive workload (photoshop, gaming etc), I'm idling at 75 - 85* which is kicking my fans into maximum operation. When I'm gaming it goes up to 90* reguarly (I've got a laptop cooler stand in the mail atm to solve that problem). However when at idle like I am right now I'm currently using 10-14% CPU; 35 - 40% Memory an 3% GPU however my GPU temp is at 77 Degrees Celcius and my laptop fans have kicked in at maximum.

I'm not sure if this is a thermal compound or dust issue, or if there is something wrong with the laptop / hardware itself. Any ideas of what it could be would be greatly appreciated as I'm worried it might start to cause long-term damage.

Cheers!
