Can I set my M530 Easy Share camera on a tripod and control the shutter from the computer keyboard?

Only if Kodak have the "tethering" software to support that feature, which I very much doubt they will have.
On a pro model Nikon or Canon maybe, not a Kodak point-and-shoot camera.
