clicked on format on SD card on my smartphone help.

i was looking on something on my android phone and accidently clicked on format that deleted all the photos and videos i had stored in my SD card....is there anyway to retrive all that were deleted from format?

Im not sure how formatting works exactly. But i do know that if you remove a file from windows it is not removed from the harddisk the space is marked as free and will be overwritten when necessairy.

After googling "Restore data from formatted SD Card" i came to this. You might want to give it a try. Whatever you do though, do NOT write anything to the SD card. (Im not even sure if the data is still retrievable though)

Put SD card in SD card reader and plug it in PC. Now you can data recovery softwares for it, many of these are available, one of free that I have used for that problem is Recuva. Its free and does the job, it will recovery but all or not, no guarantees. The more you use your SD card, the less chances of recovering more data. Stop using it and run data recovery first!
