Clicking Beeping Sounds |WD Green Caviar 1TB :(

I have problem with WD Green Caviar 1TB . Not Connected to pc and i hear Clicking Beeping Sounds .!! any solutions ,tips to fix it ? because i really need to my data 🙁

If you hear a beeping sound from the drive it relates to the I/O port of the Sata drive it`s self.

The error or sound produced is when a faulty, or bad Sata data cable is used in some cases, swap the Sata data cable over from the 1Tb drive to the motherboard Sata ports with a new cable.

You should in fact be getting an I/O error message in windows, or a BSOD relating to an I/O error in some way mmiaa.

As far as WD goes, the beeping is mainly a firmware issue, which means the PCB can be damaged or the firmware itself corrupted.
There are models when this means the engine is dead, but this is fairly rare.

Anyway, to solve your problem:

1/ Try to plug your drive on another computer. If you use Windows, try a Mac or a Linux OS. This can work. Copy your data as you soon as you have access ( so get another drive ready or some space somewhere).

2/ If nothing works and you need your data, then you can go on and open the external box, plug the drive (Sata) to a motherboard of a PC. This can work too.

Let us know with this.....there are other stuff to try too to get your files back
