[SOLVED] clicking noise a few seconds upon startup!

So i just recently built a new pc. I noticed that when i first booted it up, it made a weird clicking noise coming from the case. It become more noticeable after i installed some programs, and had to restart it several time for the programs to finish installing. I opened the case to troubleshoot where the noise was coming from, and its coming from where my aio and motherboard is.

Another thing i also noticed is that my cpu temps are ridiculous when i download/install programs. It rises to high 60s and sometimes even 70 degrees when downloading/installing, but then drops back down to mid - high 20s when its completely idle. Another thing to mention, the cpu temps are very unstable. They randomly raise and lower by 10 degrees for a split second, then go back down when using HMW.

Could the clicking noise and the cpu temp problem be related?

Specs:

I7 6700k
Asus maximus VIII formula
deepcool castle 240rgb
g skill trident z 2x8g
PNY gtx 1080
NZXT h500

NOTE: it is not the power supply. I have used this power supply on my old build, and it never had that issue.
NOTE: Also have tried unplugging my HDD, and it still makes the same noise.
I did get a new SSD, but the noise was coming from the middle of my pc (where the mobo and cpu /cpu cooler is.

I found something super weird after pinpointing exactly when the clicks come

Ok so here is when it happens.
  1. The moment the pc restarts
  2. When the login screen of windows shows up, the fans start spinning loudly, and then for a brief moment when the fans spin super loud, the clicking is made.
Those are the only 2 instances when the sound is made.

Any ideas what it could be?

Coincidentally, when i turn on the pc and boot into bios, the clicking sound is never made.

Sounds like that noise could either be coming from the PSU fan or the GPU fan. The only thing is there's no real way to tell where the noise is coming from unless I had the machine in the room with me, but those are the two things I would check first.
Only clicking noise I can think of is a bad HDD, a bad fan or fan that is hitting something, and PSU.

I know you said it wasn't the issue but what PSU do you have?

EVGA 650 GS. Kind of old, been using it for almost 5 years, but like i've said, have had no issues on my old pc.

Sounds like something could be obstructing a fan. If your temps are low then something must be blocking or obstructing your air flow. I would check and make sure that all of your fans are fine and that the CPU cooler is installed properly.

I have an AIO cooler. There is nothing that could be obstructing my CPU fan. Case fans also seem to be fine. I do believe my cooler is installed properly? I wouldn't see how else i could install it the wrong way.

What AIO cooler are you using? Some radiators are known to make very faint clicking noises but it depends on which one. Most Corsair and NZXT coolers don't have that problem as far as I know.

I am using a deepcool castle 240 rgb. I wouldn't necessarily say it is a faint clicking noise. It is definitely noticeable to be heard without me even trying to listen to it from a good amount of distance.
