I hear a clicking noise from my laptops HHD (not 100% sure if it is the HDD), only when I put it on sleep mode. It happens like every 10 seconds. But goes away once I wake it up and start using.
Is it an Issue?

Yes it is an issue.
Any NEW noises from a spinning drive are not good.

How's your backup situation?

Nothing is backed up right now😬, It only happens when it is on sleep mode though does that mean anything?
Any data you do not wish to lose should be backed up at all times.
This is a basic part of responsible PC use.

Your drive could last another 5 years, or it could die as I'm writing this.
This goes for ANY storage device.

If it didn't happen before on sleep mode, then yes.

And worrying about the sound is a nothing issue now; your priority is getting your stuff backed up. Hard drives fail and are beyond the ability of a user to repair, but the user is totally at fault if they've neglected regular backups, which is very basic PC upkeep no different than changing the filter in your furnace or oil in your car.
