Hi everyone,

My new PC arrived today and after using it for a while I started noticing a clicking sound happening every once in a while. I don't know much about computers so I'm not sure if this is a problem or not, but I thought I'd post about it here.

It's not a constant noise, it only happens sometimes, but it is pretty loud when it does happen. Here is a vid of it happening (sorry about the background noise) View: https://imgur.com/a/qZaVAUz

Solution
Some spinning hard drives make more noise than others....especially 7200 RPM drives...

If the cables are long enough, you could remove the drive, and set it on your desktop to listen to it, and see if the noise is just actually loud normal scratching noises associated with some drives, vs. a 'click of death'...

You can also run a GsmartControl long self-test on the drive, and check CrystalDiskInfo for signs of issues...

Open the side panel on the case and check all your fans, sounds like something is hitting a blade.

The fans seem to all be fine, not seeing anything hitting them.
Also, not sure if this is significant, but the clicking happens more when the PC is under load like when I am gaming, although it also happens sometimes when it is idle too. When I load a game it happens for maybe a minute, then calms down and only happens sometimes.
