Help!
I have recently discovered that my AMD athlon is equipped with 128 MB CL-3 SDRAM. I consider upgrading, but can I couple my existing RAM with CL-2? If not, how do I make sure the RAM I purchase is indeed CL-2?
Sincerely,
Rage

Yes you can mix the two. But, it'll affect performance and therefore defeat the purpose of getting CAS2 ram. So, go to crucial.com and buy a CAS2 stick of RAM. Don't buy generic crap if you want CAS2 RAM.

Crucial is recommended if you want quality RAM. There are also programs (e.g. Sisoft Sandra<-forgot if this one does? and CTSPD<-this one will for sure) that will tell you whether you've got CAS2 or CAS3 RAM.
