Clock speed issue

Hey guys

Ive got an i7 8700k and recently needed to go into the bios to enable xmp so that i get my proper ram speed.

My cpu speed now just sticks at 4.07 ghz when before it would change constantly thanks to turbo boost.

I checked and turbo boost is still enables yet the clock speed doesnt move anymore.

I presume its not Xmp related since i disabled it and still the same thing.

Also did a stress test and it didnt change.

Update
i reset the bios to defult and the cpu speed goes up and down now which is great but ofc doing it lowered my ram speed back down to 2133mhz when it is 2400mhz ram.
