This is a brand new build and probably my 10th. The build was easy. It posted and installed Windows 10 1st time and extremely quick. Then everything took a 180. I started trying to update drivers and update windows and I was getting constant lock ups and watch dog time out bsod. I would have to manually restart every time. It's so frequent that I am unable to install Windows updates. This is even occuring in safe mode and I've tried two hdds. I feel like I've tried everything at this point. I've flashed my brand new msi tomahawk and it's up to date. I've manually installed chipset drivers. I'm unable to install the video card driver because I need a newer patch that I'm unable to upgrade to because of the lock ups. I changed power settings so windows won't turn off my ssd. I've manually set the paging file. I'm out of idea and starting to think I have a bad piece of hardware. Everything is new besides the SSD which i cannibalized from another box. Any ideas?

Things I've done:
Flashed bios Updated chipset drivers Updated sata drivers Tried another HDD Tried updating in safe mode Tried drudging through Windows updates (black screen)

I know CPUs rarely ever go bad but I'm starting to think I have a bad one.
