Hello all. I have a really odd problem gong on with my desktop computer. My computer is set to go into sleep mode when it has been idle. It goes to sleep just fine. However, when it wakes up from sleep mode, the clock is 1 hour fast.

So, I have not fixed the clock since yesterday. In the meantime, it has been to sleep 3 times. It is now 1:00 pm in my time zone. My desktop computer shows 4:00 pm. It is a new computer (to me) with a clean install of Windows 10. I have not messed with anything in the registry or anything.

Any ideas of what the problem could be? Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks so much for the quick reply! Ugh, I was hoping that it was a software issue. I have no idea what that is, but I'll look into it. If it is the cmos battery, does this mean that it's dying?

Thanks again!

@reedo_43 and @scout_03, thanks again for the solution! I replaced the battery and have put it through a couple of sleep and boot cycles and so far, so good! It looks like that was it! Following your instructions, it was a lot easier than I thought it would be!
