Hi,

What's the safest or highest anyone here has clocked a 9700pro with stock
fan or Passive cooling?

Mine has a Zalman ZM80A-HP so far running at 370mhz core and 320 mem with no
problems.

Also what could you get with a Vapourchilled or waterchilled 9700 pro?
Any good links to what can be done or what has been done?

Looking to see what I can get from the old dog b4 I think of upgrading to a
X800 xt.

If it makes a difference mine is a Hercules 3d prophet.

Thanks for any help.

Using the same card as you mate. I have the arctic cooling vga silencer
fitted. I am currently at 367Mhz core and 354Mhz memory.

Your best bet is to use ati tool. Change the settings so it runs for 3600
seconds without artifacting (best done over night!) the log file will tell
you what it reached stable.

Interestingly (possibly) before I fitted the VGA silencer the memory
wouldn't go above 334Mhz without artifacting. Very strange!

Hi Les,

I have been using the ATI Tool and seem to be a bit on the squeamish side
(don't want to blow it up) buy not letting it go to high.

Trouble is not sure how the tool works in full, as you say, it's best to
leave it running all night, as long as it doesn't blow the chip.

Apart from that I went ahead and purchased the Zalman Resorator today so I
hope to post some findings once its installed.
