I have used non-OEM inks in my Epson 7620 printer and all work fine except the cyan which seems clogged. Nozzle check pattern prints only a few faint cyan lines (rest of colors are fine). Is there a way of cleaning the print head? the "factory" method doesn't help (it's like a priming cycle) I even tried using OEM Cyan 252xl ink and it's still clogged. What can I do short of throwing away the almost new printer???

I use non oem ink as well. What I recommend doing is printing at least a couple sheets of full color prints. They don't have to be in HI DPI, or photo resolution. Regular paper will be fine. I always find a background image on Google with a lot of colors and use that.

To clean your print head follow the steps below.

1. On your printer press the "Home Button" to make sure you are on the home screen
2. Select Maintenance
3. Next Select "Print Head Cleaning"
4. Select "Proceed"
5. From here you can select "All Colors" "All Except Black" "Black Only" depending on how your nozzle pattern came out. You will want to select "All Except Black" this time.
6. Press The <l> color button
7. When it's finished, print another nozzle test, and proceed. Only do THREE head cleans per hour max, because non oem ink is water based.

Hope this helps.
