Hello,

I have a 500gb internal hdd with my os on it and a 1tb external drive with my games on it. I was wondering if i could combine the 2 on my new 3tb hdd and if it would still be bootable. Is there a way i could partition the drive into 2 and copy the different drives on?

Thanks in advance.

Hey there, yopig!

I'd suggest to take a look at this thread: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/293611-32-cloning-hard-drives-large
You can use a cloning software like Acronis True Image that will let you select what gets cloned and what doesn't.
However, you should know that if you have the Windows Installation disk it's probably best to simply perform a clean install of the OS.
Afterwards, you just need to copy the data form the external.

The fresh install is the recommended way to go about new storage devices because it avoids the cloning of all the redundant files from your previous OS installation.

Good luck! Hope I helped! :)
