clone HDD in Lenovo laptop w10 UEFI

What drives do you have?
How much data is consumed on the existing drive?
I assume you're talking about the C drive?

Yes, it is. I have a Lenovo laptop with windows 10 64 bits in uefi mode, with 8 partitions.

"8 partitions"
Please show us a screencap of your Disk Management window.

I tried to boot from a CD with Hirens Boot to use the Ghost to clone the HDD, but it didn't work. It didn't boot from CD, I checked the Bios Set up or Cmos Setup of the computer, I awared it is in UEFI mode. A question about this. If I change the mode UEFI to Legacy support to enable the CD boot; Is it going to work? afterwards when I change back to UEFI mode option, is the Lenovo computer going to work as if nothing has been done? I read that change the UEFI mode to Legacy Support delete the partitions or something like that. Is it true? Thank you very much for your help.

Thanks, it is interesting. I am going to look for this device.

I would like to clone into an external HDD 2 Tb Toshiba. It isn't empty, but it has more than enough room. This laptop belongs to Ministry of Education of Peru.

Clone to an external 2TB.
For what purpose? It's not usable as a boot device.

And a clone to that 2TB WILL wipe out everything on that drive.

If you're wanting to do backups, there are other ways.
So...what exactly are you wanting this clone for?

It is for personal usage. To review the programs that laptop contains. At the school where I work, I was told to familiarize myself with these programs for use with the students, but I must return the laptop soon. The school does not have the programs to install.

Did we not already go through this?
Yes we did.

The situation has not changed from all the responses you got earlier.

Carlos:
Please forget about cloning the contents of that 500 GB drive on the Ministry's laptop. You DON'T NEED that AOMEI OneKey Recovery program for teaching purposes for your students. If you want to use a similar type of program for your students, use the AOMEI Backupper program which you can download from https://www.backup-utility.com/download.html onto your own PC.

It's an easy-to-use program and it might be a lot easier for your students to understand.

As USAFRet has informed you the partitioning configuration on the Ministry's laptop's drive is a mess. There's nothing on that drive that you need for your purposes.

But I'm not sure using a software program like the AOMEI one I mentioned above is really a good way to teach English. If your students have some familiarity with the English language and at the same time are learning to use a personal computer it might be useful. But if these students are only beginning to learn English, using some software program like AOMEI is NOT a good method for beginners.

Surely the Ministry of Education can recommend some English-language material, including recommended software programs for this purpose, can they not?

ArtPog,
Hello, thanks for your concern. I wanted to clone the HDD to have at hand the softwares to teach english languages that are installed in that HDD. The AOMEI OneKey Recovery program is not to teach english language, it is some kind of software to make backups and to recovery system, I think.
