Hello.

I just bought a new 2TB hard drive and I want to clone my 500GB hard drive to the new one.

My current hard drive has 2 pratitions, but I want the new hard drive to have 1 partition.

How exactly do I do this?

Solution
I need Games ( D: ) from DISK 1 (old, i'm going to remove it because it's dying) to be cloned to DISK 2 (new). But I want only 1 partition, like there is now (Mass storage F)
Sure.
  1. Delete partition F, so Disk 2 becomes unallocated.
  2. Clone Games partition from Disk 1 to Disk 2.
  3. Expand cloned partition to all available space on Disk 2.

You can do it with Minitool Partition Wizard Free or Macrium Reflect.

My bad, I only need to clone 1 partition from the old hard drive.

But I already initialised the new hard drive and it has 1 partition.

When I try to clone it says I will have 2 partitions on the new hard drive, but I want to have only ONE.

Does someone know how to do this?

Can I just copy paste the files from the old drive to the new drive, then remove the old hard drive and set the letter of the new hard drive to the letter of the old drive? I need my programs to work after the copy
