My intention was to clone the drive that has windows and put it into a new larger drive and use that drive to boot windows.
I have windows currently on my C drive, an SSD that is 120 gbs. I purchased a 500gb SSD that I intend to move windows and all other C drive content to. I used Macrium to clone my C drive and put it onto the new 500gb drive. I had what looked like three partitions. One that was the majority of the original C drive. The second was about 500mbs, give or take. The third was unused space. I combined the entire drive so I could take advantage of the extra space on the new drive.
I removed my old SSD but kept the new one and some other misc drives connected to the computer. When I restart the computer, I go to the BIOS and make sure that the new drive is first in the boot order. However, the system will not boot. It tries but then sends me back to the BIOS screen.
I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but I want this new larger SSD be the boot drive for windows.
Appreciate any help, let me know if the images are enough, thanks!
