I got a wd black 1 tb to clone over my main Hitachi 250 gb had for more space and better reliability. I used a usb to ide. Downloaded hdclone 6 and ran the program. After 4 hrs the process was complete and rebooted my pc. Now all its showing is a 0 kb usb storage device. I can't format the wd because it's saying there's nothing there. What the hell. Somebody help. What do I do now? How can I recover my wd 1 tb?

Hey there, Jonesy77350.

Sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your HDD. Have you checked if the drive is recognized in your BIOS, Disk Management, or Device Manager? Would you please post a screenshot of what you see in Disk Management (you can use imgur.com to upload the image)? Here's how to open it: How to access Disk Management in Windows to manage hard drives.
I'd recommend that you try connecting the drive either internally or externally to a different computer, to see if it's properly recognized and if you can reformat it. You could also download DLG (Data Lifeguard) to see if it recognizes the drive so that you can run both tests (Quick and Extended), to see if anything out of the ordinary pops-up...

Hope that helps. Please let me know how it goes.
