I have a dell system. I have wanted to upgrade to an SSD drive. Now I have problems connecting to the internet. I cloned the systems 3 times Macrium reflect. the system boots fine and the speed is great. I cant ping 8.8.8.8 but I can access my router's login page. I have rebooted the pc and the router. I have reinstalled the Nic drivers and drive controllers to the latest drivers. I can connect to the wifi.(ya i know i said i could get to router) the windows diags says something is wrong with network interface (i doubt it) i get an ip and if boot up the old spindle drive It works fine. but slow. open to advice. ty

A "clone" is a full, exact, replacement.
It can't fail to do what the original drive did, unless you did something wrong during the clone operation.

And especially can't do only "some things"....boot up and work, but kinda sorta not connect to the internet.
Can't do that.

I agree with you.. I have cloned it 3 times and same issue. I have taken both the intelligent copy from Macruim and the longer sector copy. Same issue i can connect to my router but anything outside my network I get a "general failure" (ping request used)

So if you put it back together with the original drive, does that function work?

Good day, as multiple attempts and different techniques all failed. I finally went with building windows from my pc to a key (instruction on microsoft site) and build a new system from scratch preserving the product key.

Thank you all.
