Hello everyone,
I recently bought a SanDisk Ultra 980GB SSD with the intention of having it replace my old 500GB HDD. I did a drive-to-drive clone using DriveImage XML, then removed the HDD and tried to set the new SSD as the boot drive in my BIOS. Instead of running, It displays a "Reboot and select proper boot device" message, and will not allow me to boot up. If I reconnect my HDD however, I can still boot it up just fine. But any attempt to start up my system using the cloned SSD results in that message.
Is there something I'm missing? Is it perhaps the results of a poor cloning attempt, or some other reason? I've arranged the boot drive settings and boot priority settings in the BIOS all I could, but to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
