Cloning my old Sony Xperia Z5 phone onto a new Sony Xperia Z5 phone?

A week ago my very first Android phone, a Sony Xperia Z5 fell from a height and both the screen, the camera etc got smashed, but the phone itself still works when I turn it on (but screen is too smashed up to operate it).
I discovered having the phone repaired (screen replacement, camera lens replacement etc) will cost me almost the same as buying a new Z5 so I thought I might just as well buy a new one.

So my question is whether it's possible to 'clone' my old smashed up Z5 onto a brand new identical Z5 (so that it is exactly the same, with all my old text messages, apps, photos etc? And what would be the best way to go about doing this?

Basically is there a way to clone a 'system image' of my first phone onto a new one?

Solution
Get yourself a micro USB>USB adapter and a simple USB hub with its own power supply (so that it isn't powered by the phone, since they sometimes need more power than it can offer). After that, any keyboard and mouse will work.

Android is primarily a phone and tablet system, but there are some laptops that run on it, mostly nettops.

Thank you for your tip. I'll look into it. :)

In the meantime someone else has put forward another possibility; apparently because I can still see my screen (only it is so ruined it doesn't respond to touch) I could possibly be able to connect a mouse through the phone's port and control it by using the mouse (entering my pincode, and access all my data directly on the phone and then back up my data to either the cloud or a memory card from the phone).
Does anyone know if this is a viable solution and what equipment I would need to og about doing this? (e.g what kind of mouse etc?)

I tried to find a PC version of such app, but with no success. That would simplify everything actually, you could just simply store the data on your computer and then transfer it onto your new phone. I foumd Xperia transfer though, maybe that might also help. It might be easier for you to use since it's meant for Sony devices.

But I assume my phone won't allow me to transfer any data to my computer unless I enter the pincode on my phone right? But since I'm fortunate I can still see what's on the screen, only it doesn't respond to touch, I should (in theory) be able to connect a mouse of some sort and then unlock the phone by entering my pincode right? And if I manage to do that then I can install any backup apps necessary or transfer my data to the cloud or my computer (I assume). I just need get my hands on a mouse that will work in order to test it out I guess.

I'll definitely check out Xperia transfer like you suggested. I'll post any updates on my progress.
