Im using Samsung migration software to clon my internal (origin) Samsung SSD 1.8 120GB working on /VAIOultrabook with Windows X to migrate te OS and data to a Samsung SSD 850 EVO mSATA 500GB. For that purpose Im using an mSATA to USB 3,0 connector. My system detects the new drive just fine, However the Migration software does not. By the way I could not format the new SSD to a dynamic device as the installation guide seems to suggest. Could I get some help? Thanks, Rodolfo

Welcome, Rodolfo!

It seems like you might want to consider changing the cloning/migration software itself. I can suggest you a couple of links to look over, one is a guide on migrating the OS and the other is a thread from the community with third-party cloning/migration software tools.

Thank you very much guys to all of you.

Now i got a new problem. I employed Macrium Reflect and clone my SSD 500 GB out of a 120 GB SSD. However it only shows the same size of my older disk, that is the 120 GB, how can I enlarge one of the partitions, or get advantage of the rest of the SSD disk (500) at the cloning process?. Thanksin advance!! Rodolfo

Hi again, esqol59!

The rest of your SSD capacity is still there, you just need to go to Disk Management and allocate it. A complete clone is cloning the exact capacity of your source drive, but it doesn't know what to do with the rest of your new drive (only when it's bigger in capacity) so it's there, but unallocated.
You can either add it to the existing partition by extending it or you can create a new partition by creating a new simple volume. Here you can read more about primary and extended partitions: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=vD2xJ6

Hope this helped. Best of luck! :)
