I want to upgrade from an installed 256gb drive on my HP Elitebook X360 830 G6 laptop. It has a 256 GB PCIe NVMe SS drive and I want to move up to 512 or 1tb drive.

I have an Apricom cable and have used their EZ Gig IV software in the past but I will need to get some kind of adapter for this drive and my current drive is bitlocker encrypted as well. Not sure if the old way of doing things will work.

Can you folks give me some tips? Want to do this in the safest way possible.

Thanks!

Mike

You will need an adapter that you can put the new m.2 in and connect it via usb........newegg and amazon have many.

Then you should be able to clone old to new.
I use macrium reflect to clone and so far it has worked fine.
