[SOLVED] Cloning Windows from SSD to SSD (SATA)?

I will get my new XPG SX950U 960gb tomorrow and I wonder if I should clone my Windows 10 and some software like Lightroom from my old SSD Crucial M500 (that I will keep)
So it's more or less the same Reading speed between these 2 SSD but 230mb/s for the old Crucial M500 to 480~520mb/s for the Adata XPG.
So will Windows and software load faster?

Sure, I'd clone it. In general the boot drive should be the fastest drive. It will be faster. Although it shouldn't be a huge difference. Not as big as going from a HDD to SSD.

Uninstall the software you don't want to transfer first. Then reinstall it to another drive afterwards, if you just didn't want it on the new SSD. If you simply don't want it installed on the SSD. Most software simply can't be moved around.

When you install software, it doesn't just plonk it on the disk, it also tells the os where it is, what it needs access to etc. Therefore you can't just move it, or leave it behind as it would confuse the operating system.

There is no 'pick and choose'. You can't do "some software".
And there is REALLY nothing that will do "only Windows".

Reduce your actual used space, then clone it.
Uninstall some applications, move or delete other things...

"boot time" is a poor measurement of drive performance or choice.
But overall, the new XPG is a "better" drive than the elder crucial.
