So recently I got a fairly old computer (A 2008 Dell Optiplex 760 with a Celeron) and I decided to try giving it an upgrade and maybe decorate it somehow. The computer lies on its side, and the access panel is on the top as opposed to the side. I had an idea for something I could do: cover the top panel with some ornate antique fabric or cloth. The top panel has no openings or ventilation on it, so I figured this would be safe(r) to do.
What do you guys think? If the top panel is covered with fabric and only the edges on the inside are covered, is this safe? Is there a good way to do this? And is there something I could do that could make this safer to do? Additionally, should I do this at all?
