I want to do a full clean install onto my asus laptop, however cloud download option isnt there when I click reset this PC under recovery. It's automatically assume reinstall from this pc. I don't want that because problem with bsod Im having for a year now, local storage is faulty. Did SFC DISM billion times which did not helped, downloaded drivers from myasus, checking drive errors nothing did helped. So my last option is the clean download of win11. Myasus also says everything is ok however I have to make sure.

Can you help? Thank you

MediaCreation tool, a 8GB or larger flash drive, and install.

If you're trying to fix BSODs then DO NOT use the Windows Reset feature, whether local reset or cloud reset (which is what I think you're referring to?).

Windows Reset only refreshes Windows libraries, it reuses the existing third-party drivers - and that's the problem. Most BSODs are caused by bad third-party drivers, so a Windows Reset doesn't help at all.

As already suggested, download Windows 11 to a USB drive, boot that drive, chose a custom install, delete all UEFI partitions, and install onto the empty drive.

Thanks everyone, I managed to clean cloud download via mediacreationtool all while keeping my apps and settings. (ISO method) Hopefully this fixes the bsod I'm having since months now.

Above person, I did always clean install with DDU my gpu drivers plus I don't have experience with usb drives and partitions, may delete ASUS WinRE if I'm not careful so I avoid doing that path you mentioned. Having limited access to the tutorials and hardware also makes my life complex.

Interesting thing is myasus tests did pass everything with success before and now. So my guess myasus isnt good detecting issues but that is okay now hopefully forever.

Never did cloud install before so it was always reinstalling from my laptop so I take it that was the issue

Thanks again

There is no such thing as 'cloud install', only a cloud reset. A Windows reset is NOT the same as a clean install, as I outlined above. A reset, whether cloud or local, DOES NOT replace any third party drivers, and where BSODs are concerned that's where the problem lies.

Thanks for the detailed info, I didn't know that, this laptop is a g15 asus zep something rog. 2022 model, if everything else fails , can I roll back to Windows 10 somehow? My desktop is a Win10 and much more stable than Win11 as far as I experienced, is this laptop valid for Windows 10? Or I'm stuck with Win11 forever?

Thank you so much for the info

Did it come with Win 11 originally?

Generally, there is no "rollback", unless you upgraded from 10 to 11 in the last 30 days.
