I got the cooler master 212x cooler for my fx 6300 , it was overheating and my motherboard is Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 .
I am having issues installing this fan ,
i want to install the fan facing front of my pc ,
But whenever i begin to screw the cooler diagonaly , the other side screw face too high , i have apply too much pressure , i eventualy get 3 screw in the mobo , but the 4 screw lift up so high , and insane amount pressure is needed to screw it , i am afraid to break my motherboard of overtighting , moreover my screwdriver cant even reach to tight the screws, i have to akwardaly tight the screws by tilting the screwdriver , doing this damaged the alumium part of the cooler .
pls if u get it what i am taking about or u had this issue . pls any suggestion will appriciated ,
Thanks.

Put them all in very loose to start.
Then, tighten each one a little but at a time in order 1, then 2, then 3, then 4.
Keep tightening in that order a little each round. Continue until all are tight.

yes i know i have to do it diognaly , 1324
but as i screw only a little bit , the opposite side of plate rise to high , now i can apply force it will fix , but the last one just hover , it rises double , it took too much force to put it in ,
i am able to fit the cooler r8 now
but i didnt tight full the cooler as i afraid something will happen to my mobo

another question is that how i am suppose to tight the screws with screwdriver as the screws are r8 below the alumminium cooler , my screwdrivver cant reach straight , i have tilt it .

no matter how i do it , i do it very losely , diagonaly , straight , the last screw is always too high , about 2 or 3 cm away , now i can screw it with too much force
and another thing that how i am suppose to tight the screws , i will have no problem if i face the cooler down , my screwdriver will easily reach straight to tight the screws , but i want to face it front , the screws hide under the alummium heatsink and the only way to tight the screws is to akwardly tight them by making an angle of about 70 degree , doing this led to some scratches at the bottom cornors of cooler and one side is messed up.

but as i see other do it , the 4 screw are always making contact and it looks easy in watching videos ,
but there is not specific video installing this cooler at AM3+ with facing front

what i would have done wrong ? mine cooler is 212x and i installed it on AM3+ (fx 6300) .In which processor you installed your cooler.

I have had mine on lga 1156 and lga 1150. AM3+ is a bit different due to the dimensions of the mounting holes. It will be difficult to fit a screwdriver under the heatsink, you might need to mount it in a different orientation or take the fan off to mount it. Make sure you have the bracket set at the right angle. If it isnt you could probably get 3 out of 4 screws in.
