CM Hyper 212x with Corsair Vengeance RAM

I'm looking to buy a air cooler for my i7-2700K.My spces are-
MOBO-Asus P8Z77-M PRO
CPU-Intel i7-2700K
RAM-Corsair Vengeance 8*1,4*3=20Gb
Case-Antec 200 V2

Lately my CPU has been hitting very high temps so I decided to buy a new CPU cooler.My budget is low air cooling is my only option.CM hyper 212x seems like a good cooler but I'm worried that it will obstruct my RAMs.My motherboard has 4 slots and I have used them all.Any suggestions?

If the vengeance is low-profile u r good to go. Otherwise it might create problem. the 212x fits with a bit of play. the clearance is almost 1.8 inches where the vengeance heat spreaders can reach over 2 inches.

If you use the two blue RAM slots you should be fine. If the 212X works similar to a 212 EVO, you should be able to just move the fan to the other side of the heatsink if you ever need to fill all the slots.

I have used all four RAM slots already and all of them are very tall.So should I go ahead and buy hyper 212x?

RAM... doesn't work like that. Your 8GB stick is getting downsized and used as a 4GB stick, so you only have 16 GB usable.

I would monitor your memory usage. I would be very, very surprised if you ever needed all 16GB of that... and if you do, then go with the 212 EVO. If it doesn't fit, you can remove the heatsinks from your ram without trouble; they're purely decorative anyways.

From what I'm seeing of the 212X, you can just move the fan to the other side of the heatsink.
Go for it if you want.
