Question Cmd opens and closes immediately on startup

Hi everyone!
recently I've noticed that on startup, sometimes the cmd opens and closes immediately. I have Avast premium security, I already did a full system scan, the computer is clean. Lately I haven't downloaded anything, and if I do I only do it from reliable/official sites. How can I fix this?

I just checked and the startup apps are Windows Security Notifications, Avast, Microsoft Edge, Microsoft OneDrive, Cortana and my printer’s app. I guess that one of these has an entry that executes something... Thanks for your reply!

Alos look in Task Scheduler.

One of the startup apps may be a trigger to launching the Cmd Window.

Check Reliability History and Event Viewer: Either one of both tools may be capturing some related error code, warning, or even an informational event related to the Cmd Windows appearence.

Hi! thanks for your reply. I just checked, no event seems related to the opening of the CMD. When I checked Event Viewer, I noticed that there are a BUNCH of critical alerts like “windows did not shut down properly”. I also noticed that there are a few warnings, most are caused by Windows failing to update certain apps. Is it normal? Ps: the Cmd doesn’t open at every startup.

Reading back:

Please update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used)? History of heavy use for gaming or video editing?

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

The improper shutdowns may be a direct problem of some sort or they may have been captured if/when you were forced fo power off the system.

What apps failed to update?

As a generic first try run the built in Windows troubleshooters. The troubleshooters may find and fix something.

Following that try "sfc /scannow" and "dism".
