[SOLVED] CMK16GX4M2A2400C16 with a Ryzen 2700x

Hey,

So i have been looking to add more Ram to my PC and Ive been looking around and it appears the RAM i have doesn't state it should be used with a Ryzen 2700x CPU and instead is intel RAM?

Can someone confirm if CMK16GX4M2A2400C16 can work with 2700X CPU or if it should be in an intel machine ?

Also if it is fine would it be better to add another 2x8GB of 2400MHZ C16 Ram or get a C14 of the same RAM or just upgrade the whole lot to say 3200MHZ?

Specs of PC are

470X MB
2x8GB CMK16GX4M2A2400C16 - Corsair vengeance C16 RAM
2700X CPU
3070 GPU

do you know what motherboard you have

edit: pcpartpicker.com automatically checks for incompatibility, so assuming your motherboard supports DDR4 memory, it should work just fine, idk where you read it was "intel ram," nor can I be certain if it would work, but I can't think of a real reason it wouldn't work

The original memory asked about will work fine. However, mixing/matching memory can produce undesirable results..

For best performance, you should install matched pairs of memory. Ryzens do perform better with faster memory, as well.

When you say mixing and matching can you be more specific like MHZ speeds? Brands? C14/C16?

Anything outside of a single kit that contain the total amount of ram needed is called mix+match.

No. Mixing anything other than memory sold as matched pairs.
