CMOS and screwdriver

Hello all,
first time postinf here. Forgive me if this is the wrong section.
So I bought some pc components and got them assemblied from the store I bought them. When I tried booting the computer however there was no signal coming to the screen.
So supposing (everything hypothetically from here on) I removed the CMOS battery, as an attempt to fix the problem, using a screwdriver on the pin and picking it up with a magnet and some kind of damage happened to the motherboard, would that void the warranty of the motherboard or any other component that was damaged by this procces?

Hi,
It depends on the warranty, you would have to read it. But I would suspect that it would void the warranty.

I understand. I suppose however that it is not necessary that the battery can get damaged from a magnet or no?

It shouldn't be damaged from a magnet
