Hi, just build I gaming rig with all new parts and this error comes up. Below it, it say F1 to continue and F2 / DELETE to run setup, I've tried both buttons on my new keyboard and it does nothing. I know the keyboard works because I used it on my laptop. I tried booting to the bios but the error would just come up. Before I got the error I bought it in to a IT guy because it wasn't displaying to the monitor. (RAM was defective) And he managed to boot up the computer. I tried 3 different power cables all leading to the same problem. Tomorrow I'm planing to try another keyboard and get a new CMOS battery. Why is this happening? CMOS batteries usually die after a few years why new? Could it have died while driving home?

if your keeyboard is wireless one it may not be turning on also try the back ports in the rear and pull the video card snd one ram stick. you may have a old bios file and the mb is locking up. if it an asus mb see if it has the usb flashback port if it does use it to update the bios.

It's corsair k65 RGB so not wireless, my bios version is up to date, (p2.1) and my cpu needs p2.0. Thought before I gave it to the IT guy, I took out the battery because I thought that it was the problem. If I did reset the battery then what can I do?

Thanks for the quick replies.
