Hi there. I am new at overclocking and I am planning to build a gaming pc on a fx-6300 and M5A97 r2.0. My case is the zalman z1. I was wondering if the cnps5x performa will fit in the case without touching the side panel of the case. i'm not gonna oc the cpu to the max probably just around 4.0 ghz and i don't want to risk using the stock cooler so will this cooler fit the case and work with overclocking fx6300? thank you very much for your help guys.

That would easily fit in the case

but I recommend you use a larger cooler with a a 120 mm fan and a much larger surface area . The Coolermaster Hyper 212 is usually the best budget cooler . The case is 199 wide and the 212 needs about 160 mm of clearance . It will fit .
Just check this is your case
