CNR & AMR slots

Howdy,

Just got a mobo with a CNR slot. I need to get a modem, but I can't seem to find a CNR modem online. Do AMR modems work in the CNR slot? I read somewhere that there is some compatibility between these types of slots. Any info is appreciated.

Do yourself a favour and get a good EXTERNAL hardware modem or if the pricing blows you away at least a good INTERNAL PCI hardware modem card.
The AMR/CNR are a waste of space/time/money and effort.

AMR/CNR/ACR slots are a joke right now. Hopefully in the future they'll become something worth having, but right now, you can't really buy anything for it.

Whatever you do don't use CNR or AMR get a real hardware modem.
