I know that this question has been asked regarding coat of arms and
duel type creatures. I just can't remember what the verdicate was
concerning the bonuses, so I appologise for asking this but last time
I did not posess any coat of arms.

Does a coat of arms give all zuberas +1/+1 and then another +1/+1 for
being a spirit or is zubera not a creature type ?

Thanks

Phil

Zubera is a creature type.

Coat of Arms doesn't say anything about giving "+1/+1 for each creature type
that creature shares with another creature". It counts how many other
CREATURES the creature shares one or more types with, and then gives that
much of a bonus. Sharing two or more types with another creature does not give
any additional bonus.

Zubera is a creature type, but that does NOT double the bonus for Coat
of Arms.

Ashen-Skin Zubera
Champions of Kamigawa common
1B
Creature - Zubera Spirit
1/2
Rules Text (Oracle): When Ashen-Skin Zubera is put into a graveyard
from play, target opponent discards a card for each Zubera put into a
graveyard from play this turn.

Since Zubera appears on the type line, it's certainly a creature type.
However:

Coat of Arms
Exodus, Seventh Edition and Eighth Edition rare
5
Artifact
Rules Text (Oracle): Each creature gets +1/+1 for each other creature
in play that shares a creature type with it. (For example, if there are
three Goblins in play, each gets +2/+2.)

Notice - "Each other creature in play that shares a creature type with
it". Each creature counts only once, no matter how many creature types
it has - it's still only one creature, which is all this wording cares
about.

No, they just get +1/+1. But it's not because Zubera's not a creature type (it
is; their leaves-play abilities wouldn't work otherwise); it's because CoA
doesn't count creature types. It counts creatures with the same type. So,
let's say you had the following:

--5 Zubera Spirits
--3 Dragon Spirits
--5 Dragons

Now, here's how they break down:

--The Zubera Spirits get +7/+7, for 7 other creatures that share a type (the
other Zubes and the Dragon Spirits--all Spirits);
--The Dragons get +7/+7, for 7 other creatures that share a type (the other
Dragons and the Dragon Spirits);
--Yosei, Jugan, and Ryusei (or whatever) get +12/+12, for TWELVE other
creatures which share a type (The other Dragon Spirits, plus the Zubes
(Spirits) and the ordinary Dragons (Dragon).

And, since all printed Zuberas are Spirits too, Zubera generally doesn't matter
to CoA (unless you've got a Riptide Replicator with Zubera as the chosen
type...)
