hello everyone, i have only one internet wall socket in my living room and its connected to a modem/router with a short coax RG59 . i would like to have a wired connection to my pc which is in my bedroom and is approximately 10 meters away (alongside the walls ). my question is, which is better for data transmission ? specially less lag for gaming?
  1. using a 10 meter Coax RG59 and replace the modem close to the pc with a short LAN cable?
  2. using a 10 meter coax RG6 and replace the modem as in step 1 ?
  3. the modem stays where it is and using a 10 meter long LAN cable ?

i would also want to add that the plug on the wall socket has a small diameter than the plug that is on the modem, it is a 5 meter long coax RG59 with two different tips on each end, the smaller one goes into the wall socket and the bigger (normal) plug goes into the modem, i've searched the net for something similar but haven't found it, any tips on that ? thank you .

Solution
I would run the ethernet just because it is somewhat simpler and who knows you might get unlucky and the extra cable may reduce the signal levels coming in from the ISP. Make sure you buy good ethernet cable cat5e. Even though the flat or thin cable may be tempting in cases like yours it is not certified and has issues. Also make sure you have pure copper cable not CCA.
