Do you have to have BMS installed too or is just FF3 good to go with
this patch?

As long as you have FF3, your good to go. If you want to do a re-install :-

1. Install Falcon 4
2. Install FreeFalcon3
3. Install FF3 2-in-1 patch
4. Install CobraOne patch
5. Anything else.

OK, thx. I'm already installed up to FF3 2 -in- 1 patch so no need to
reinstall.

I just uninstalled and did a fresh F4 reinstall and the 1234 steps
below and so far works great now with WinMe. Looks like most of the
FF3 BMS stuff is in there with Cobra .... I thought FF3 installed BMS
3.0 automatically? Need to work with it now. Anyway fantastic!!!
............

Anybody know whether Tom Waelti's full HiTiles can be used with this
and what the install order is?

Thx

No need - in fact, if you *do* have it, it deletes it <gg>.

I did a backup just in case, as there doesn't appear to be an
uninstall.

Couple of gotchas:

1) If panning doesn't work in outside view, move the slider a fair bit
to the left in Setup/Controllers/advanced.

2) If you have the Aeyes F-16 pit, use the Font Texel alignment option
(Setup/Graphics/Advanced) or you may see the dreaded blue line
fringes.

I have HiTiles - works fine with CobraOne - as does the BaZT terrain
thingie.

I installed CobraOne into an already working FF3 install, so I expect
you'd do your regular FF3 dance, then CobraOne *last*.

It's great to have BMS weather back - and the new explosion GFX make a
welcome change!

Yep ...... the reason I asked is I installed HiTiles last and it
choked on the last countdown startup box .... and I did recompress
textures. I did a complete delete/reinstall again putting HiTiles
after F4 install but before FF3 and it works OK.

You say it deletes HiTiles when you install FF3?

Any other glitches on Cobra you know of at this point??

Campaign working OK?? ...... haven't gotten that far yet.

What's the BaZT thingie??

Thx for info

Nope - deletes the old BMS exe.

The zoom view "L" key doesn't seem to work - but that's no big deal.

Seems fine. I picked up where I left off in Korea.

>What's the BaZT thingie??

It's a terrain elevation tool. It adjusts the default heights for
terrain (to what F4 was originally meant to have, apparently) then
re-applies the tiles over the matrix. I've lost the link, so you may
need to Google for it or search Frugal's.
