Is the community still big enough to consider getting the game and is there a big proportion of hackers in the game?

Cod 4, mostly have the player that will only play newest cod for about 1 hour then back to cod 4 about 4-5 hours,they almost have their own player, it still going strong, the community is still big, theres no much hacker in cod4 then mw2,mw3 and mw4 return of the deathstreak, Hahahahaha

I personally play the latest cod to follow the changes and flow of the game, it fun eventhough it release the game every year, again, i play bo2 about few hours then 45-30 minute before i end my session i will play cod 4, there something amazing in cod 4 then the others, probably when u can have 48 players in a lobby which imposible on other cod

Will probably need to install some mods to get alll this working

I like to trap kid in a corners which is imposible for cod 4 xDD

i dont know about cod4, i personally play it on steam, but when im play at cc or any lan tournament, they dont use steam. i think cod4 can be launch with or without steam

cod 4 isnt a steam only game you can use it with or without steam enabled. if you bought it off steam then yeah it needs to be on but if you have the disk you dont.
cod 4 has the biggest comunity of any of the new cod games so yeah its still worth getting.

i bought it on disk 3 days after it came out and i can say i have had zero issues with it. unlike some steam players who are constantly having to check the cache integrity every time they play... so yeah i think the disk version is a better version. but dont forget you have to patch the game with 6 or 7 patches. (filefron has all of them in 1 place).
if you do buy the disk you will have to also download the newer version of punkbuster and pbsvc.exe this is where having it on steem is less of an issue. all your updates are applied automatically
