COD BLACK OPS 2 Windows 8.1

Hey guys, I am currently fucking annoyed with Windows 8.1 as it can't even launch Black Ops 2. If anyone can help please give me a shout. Cheers for those who can.

You may be missing a DLL or something, if you are launching black ops II with steam, steam will hide the error message. just launch black ops II from the steam directory rather than through steam, and see if an error message pops up. this has solved alot of my steam game issues in the past, and hopefully it will work for you too.

Nah it didn't fucking work, right now I'm so fucking pissed off.

dude i have the same problem so

go to the COD black ops 2 setup and right click go to the properties,compatibility and tick the box with windows 7 compatibility and apply settings and you are good to go run the setup...enjoy and i can even tell ya the error you are receiving 0xc0000142 was-ant it its common for other games also like hitman retribution also...so same mthd..

source i have fixed 10 times in windows 8.1
