COD BO 1 >MP<

a little bit more info

I have a i5 2320 i run it at 3.0 ghz, GTX 550 Ti, 4gb of ddr3 1333mhz ram and i do not overclock it
is it normal for a cpu Temperature to go this high when the game loads up a map and all the cores load 100%

COD BO 1 MP i play it on all high g 1920X1080

i like to use oF

it went up to this today
core>3 181oF or 82OC) (core> 1&2&4 in the 170s oF) 210oF is the max or in oC 99oC

even when it is the lowest G 800x600 and in window mode it still does it that high.

Solution
Forget individual cores what is the overall temperature of the entire CPU package. Are you using the stock heatsink or aftermarket? You could try taking the heatsink off, cleaning off the old thermal paste and re-applying and see what happens. Also make sure the heatsink is on right and fully seated.

Did the computer shut down? If not than I doubt it was really running at those temps. If it was running that hot it would have gone into thermal shut down. It could have been a bad sensor or faulty software reading. What are you using to read these temps? I would download HWMonitor.

i'm using Core temp 0.99.7 is that an faulty software.

Core Temp isn't bad but I would still download HWMonitor to get a side by side comparison. If you get somthing compleatly different than core temp is bad if not than it could be a bad sensor. You can also look at the BIOS and see what temps it is reading.

one more thing I have it 1000 temp reading >i had it on 100 temp reading ms< i had it reading the temp too fast right?

no but im going to but i want the main wedsite

package is 174 oF 79 oC

thank you for this info but i am handi cap so i cannnot do all that but i know a lot about computers so im going to take it in and see what they think about it next year and 6 5 days in till Christmas i should of told you this sorry

Ok 79* Celcius is to hot it shouldn't be running that hot not even under extreme conditions like Prime 95. I would take it to a local computer shop and see what they think. Hopefully they'll give it a good dust out and re-apply thermal paste. If that doesn't work hopefully they can do some looking and trouble shooting.
