Hi all, I've got a problem with cod waw on my pc running windows xp (yes before everyone says it I'm aware it's a dead os but my windows crashed and it's the only iso I have whilw I'm away from wifi)
My specs are
Core 2 duo 2.16ghz
2gb ddr2 ram
Nvidia GeForce go 7900gs
Windows xp professional x86 (again just temporary as my cpu is actually x64)
So the game works fine one on windows 7 but on windows xp it crashes with the error the procedure entry point interlockedcompareexchange64 could not be found in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll
I had this issue before and I know it's generally because the game wants a feature xp doesn't have but I don't see how this can be the case since all the system requirements for cod waw say it can run on xp
Any help would be appreciated as I would really like to start playing this game again

Solution
As I said, I believe if you look in the actual executables for the game, there's an option to use 32x or 64x. You'd need to make sure you're running 32x in this case (x86 is the architecture - for some reason it's used to refer to 32x systems though.)

Running 1.7.0.0 with T4m (a mod that increases the preset limits of the game allowing some custom maps to run)
Could it be the fact that xp is x86? I can get xp disks as i know people that have them if you think it might fix it
