None of the USB ports are working in my PC. When i was trying to update the drivers, i get this code 10 error saying the device cannot start. How do i resolve this?
I'm running Windows 10 and have a MSI motherboard.

Solution
- Which MSI motherboard exactly? A program like speccy or HWInfo will tell you.

- Windows 10 should install drivers for your motherboard automatically unless this is an old motherboard which Windows 10 doesn't fully support. If this is the case you will not find Windows 10 drivers on the motherboard support page.
Visit MSI Support page and download the USB controller drivers for your motherboard.

Go to Device Manager and locate the 'USB xHCI Compliant Host Controller' under 'Universal Serial Bus controllers'
Right-click the 'USB xHCI Compliant Host Controller' and hit Uninstall.
Hit OK when asked to confirm the uninstall. Reboot
Install the drivers for your motherboard USB controller.

How do i install the drivers? There's an error message saying it can't.

It is always a good idea to provide some info about your system (OS, PC components, etc..) and any info detailing changes made that could have created the issue.
Which motherboard you have?

Go to Device Manager, and right-click 'USB xHCI Compliant Host Controller', select Properties, and browse to the Driver tab. Press Update Driver... then click Browse my computer for drivers software.
Click 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers...'then hit the 'Have Disk' button then click 'Browse' and go to the folder where the drivers are located, select the first 'xxxxx.inf' file and hit 'Open' , the 'OK' Windows will begin the process of updating .
You may need to restart your system for the changes to take effect.

It says the folder specified does not contain compatible software, even though its a x64 based file for my 64 bit os.
