[SOLVED] Code E6

I have a Rog CrosshairVI Extreme MOB. with a Ryzen 5 2600 CPU and I can't get past the error code.
Have tried updating the Bios with the latest, but it didn't update following Manual instructions.
Would I be right in thinking I may have damaged either the MOB or CPU as my next step?

From searches I've done on the E6 code, that relates to CPU not detected.

If that coincides with your MB manual, then focus on the CPU and socket.

Check for broken or bent pins on the processor, and damage to the socket, or foreign material therein.

I suggest calling AMD support see if they can help. I did a search on the mobo and that CPU nothing stands out to suggest an update is needed.
