so I am having a trouble with what i am guessing is coil whine being picked up through my headphones(front panel is actually quieter than the back). At 1st i noticed this sound when playing games regardless the game but in dota2 for example when i limited the fps to 60 it became a lot quieter.Fallout 4 on the other hand (60 fps too) the noise is way more noticeable.Another example for the noise is when i am ingame(dota2) and then i tab out the noises the pc makes become less almost instantly.(i only care about the noises not being picked up by the headphones). On idle it also picks up some noises but u have to stay focused in order to barely hear them.I did a stress test on the cpu with prime 95 (in-place large FFT's) and the noise was exactly similar to the idle one.My specs are
Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4.00GHz
Kingston Hyper X Fury 16GB Dual-Channel DDR3 1600MHz (2 X 8gb each)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (g1 gaming)
PSU Corsair RM Series RM750 80Plus Gold
MOBO Gigabyte Socket 1150 GA-Z97X-Gaming 5 GLan Audio Raid
Case Corsair Carbide 500R Midi Tower
120GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO
1TB Western Digital black
and for monitor an LG(i don't remember the exact model)
State Enabled, Primary
Monitor Width 1920
Monitor Height 1080
Monitor BPP 32 bits per pixel
Monitor Frequency 60 Hz
i have updated the audio drivers and gpu ones.
the question is what can i do to completely remove those noises or at least minimize them at the bare minimum .Btw i don't know why i started noticing it now and by now i mean the past couple months i am guessing after it became apparent to me i started paying more attention. But could it be that my regular cleaning it from the dust had anything to do with it?i am using this type of thing http://prnt.sc/f38w6q to blow the dust which is something i even used in the past. Also i have read that isolating(dunno what cable from which) can help with the interference so i would be glad if someone could shed some light regarding that.
P.S i am living in a quite remote place so picking up any hardware is quite difficult for example a sound card which i am wondering if a decent one can yield some results or would be a complete waste.
to sum it up
1:what cable should i isolate from the others(how and if it helps at all)
2:Will a decent soundboard help?(price model etc)
3:is it possible me blowing it messed up something?
on further notice (using the back panel since the noise is easier to detect) when i simple tab in and out of dota2 the min a tab in u can clearly hear the noise but after i tab out the noise instantly goes from a loud constant one to one that's similar to a helicopter but way quieter. So could it be after all a gpu fan messed up by the blowing/time and if so what can be done.
Further update i blew the dust again a couple minutes ago and the result was a change in the noise of the sound plus now it doesn't seem to be constant and sometimes i can even detect some sound when moving the mouse/opening a new tab/scrolling etc (barely though and with effort).Plus since i am searching for coil whine for the past 2 days i am lead to believe that it could be my psu's fault even if the coil whine is heard from the gpu.
