Ok so, I replaced both my PSU and gpu due to what I thought was the typical coil whine but nothing was fixed and the sound is EXACTLY the same. Could it be my motherboard or one of the plugs in the motherboard? ( my hd audio doesn't work very well, possibly that). Please help I don't want to spend more money on a motherboard or any other part if there is an easy way to fix this. Also only occurs while gaming. The more fps the louder the whine.

Could be fans could be coil whine from the board. You really should have been certain before swapping parts out. There are some things you can do to figure it out. Start by unplugging all your fans, save your CPU heat sink-fan (though you can unplug it briefly to see if it stops whine as well, be sure to shut down quickly after checking this)...Still have whine? if no you know it is one of the fans. Plug one in at a time until you figure out which it is. If unplugging your fans didn't work. Try to listen and see exactly where the whine is coming from. IF you can nail down the part causing it there are some things you can do...

Why did you replace parts without being sure they were the issue?

Anyway, couldn't this just be caused by one of the fans? Seems possible that the sound would be louder when gaming as the fans will spin faster the warmer your system gets. Maybe it's your CPU fan as you have already replaced the GPU and PSU.

"The more fps the louder the whine."

I can almost guarantee that the noise is coming from the GPU. What FPS are you getting when this is happening? If it's higher then your monitor supports then just enable vsync which should help reduce it. Coil whine also can go away over time and it won't ruin the card.

If the noise is coming from the PSU then it needs to be replaced. Please list your specs.
