Hey!
Hey, about two weeks ago I swapped out of my FX 9590 and some am3+ motherboard for an i7-4790k and a gigabyte ga-z97x-gaming 7. After installing these components, coil whine of some kind, occoured when playing GPU demanding games. It seems as the more fps the GPU renders, the louder the whine gets, as at the start menu of the game "witcher 3", it renders about 3-4k frames, and the coil whine is pretty loud. However, when entering the game, the whine is reduced as I only have about 100~ fps. This did not occour on my GTX 980 nor 680 while using the amd components.
Right now I am using the 4790k's gpu and the whine seems to be gone, if not just reduced to the point where I am unable to hear it.
Any clue about what is causing this?
Thanks
