[SOLVED] Coil whine when scrolling on chrome, is it normal?

I recently upgraded to an RTX 3070 Ti and I’m having coil whine when scrolling through a website on chrome, the GPU usage spikes from 0% to 6% when scrolling

I understand some coil whine is normal when the GPU is under high load but is it normal when there’s low usage? like on chrome for example?

Are you sure it’s the gpu? I’ve had coil whine at low load before and it turned out to be the psu.

Yes, the noise comes from the GPU, also the whine happens exactly when there's a change of UI, for example scrolling

Well, coil whine could happen even at low loads. You could’ve just gotten a particularly louder one.

a bad or low quality psu can also exacerbate coil whine.
