Cold boot gpu issues

I own a medion storebought pc with the following specs:

GTX 745 (OEM)
i7 4790 @ 3.6ghz
2x6gb DDR3 1600
FSP 330W PSU
Medion H81H3-EM2 Motherboard
Windows 8.1 64bit

I've upgraded it with a MSI GTX 1050 Ti GT OC.
The card works but i have issues on cold boots.
After the bios screen, my screen goes into standby and does not wake up.
After a hard reboot, the boot is very slow but it does boot up but my internet connection is disconnected for an unknown reason. Simply replugging the cable fixes this.
I also hear the "New hardware connected" sound.

So far i've tried:

- Installing the latest nvidia driver version (Using DDU)
- Rolling back driver versions
- Reseating my gpu
- Upgraded my bios to the latest version available (beginning 2015)
- This fix http://

Edit* Secure boot is also disabled.

None of them had any effect.
If i replace it with my old GTX 745, all works perfectly.

I'm running out of ideas, except maybe a manual bios reset after i put the card in, but that's the last thing i can think of.

Any help is appreciated.

Return the card. Invest in gtx 1060 because you are not utilizing all of your cpu power.

I'm aware that my gpu is bottlenecking my cpu, but this card is meant as a cheap upgrade to my gtx 745 so i can keep gaming.
If i want a 1060, i'd have to change the psu too and i'm not too sure i have enough headspace, a 1060 is even bigger then my current gpu and this is already a tight fit.
The pc is also not new, and i'm not too happy about the quality of the mobo either.

*Update I have tried to clear all the nvidia files and work in a set order.

1)Remove my GTX 745
2) Uninstall nvidia drivers using DDU
3) Manually remove the map where the nvidia update unpacks
4) Put in new 1050
5) Install drivers

It booted perfectly without the drivers with the 1050ti inside but as soon as the drivers are installed, the problem is back.

Hm. It's hugely likely a driver issue then if the Nvidia drivers are causing the problem.

I'd recommend doing a fresh install of Windows 8.1 at this point (or just upgrade to Win10), because even I am confused by why that problem seems to happen even with Nvidia's latest drivers.

Any ideas on this?

Also, how do i stop the overwriting of the boot log file since i need to reboot to gain access it overwrites the log file of the faulty boot.

It almost feels like the motherboard wants to keep loading the old gtx745 card.

Problem solved by again uninstalling my driver using DDU and then only installing the graphics driver.
None of the 3D and audio nvidia components.
3x succesfull cold boot, one with a whole night between.
Working my way down the drivers to see wich one's cause it.
